Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is an alternative to electrolysis, plucking, waxing, shaving and creams. While all of these methods are effective at removing hair, some are painful and time consuming. Laser hair removal is quick and virtually painless. A lip and chin can be treated in 1 minute and bikini lines treated in less than 5 minutes. The Candela GentleLase Plus is an alexandrite laser with a wavelength of 755nm. This is the best wavelength for the laser to disable the hair follicle without damaging the skin pigment (or tanning cells). The GentleLase also has a cooling spray to protect the skin and make the treatment more comfortable. Clients with darker skin will still need a test area before a full treatment to avoid any unwanted skin color changes. Most clients require treatment every 4-8 weeks for 6-8 treatments, then 2-4 times per year.
Hemangiomas Treatment
Hemangiomas are flat or raised cherry red spots on the skin. Hemangiomas can be found anywhere on the skin, but is more common on the stomach, chest and neck. Hemangiomas are a collection of small blood vessels, and can have a hereditary predisposition.
Hemangiomas respond exceptionally well to the KTP Aura Laser. Only a few pulses of the KTP Laser are necessary to eliminate these cherry spots. A cool gel is used on the skin to make the laser pulses virtually painless.
Ear Ring Hole Repair
Ear ring holes can get stretched or torn. Sometimes this occurs from infection of the hole or from trauma to the ear lobe. Wearing heavy ear rings over many years can also cause this problem. Some clients say their ear rings point at the ground or that they can't even wear stud ear rings anymore. Occasionally, the ear ring hole is torn all the way through the ear lobe and forces the client to wear clip on ear rings only.
Fortunately, this problem is easily fixed in the office in about 30 minutes. A few stitches are used to repair the enlarged ear ring hole, and a new small hole is pierced shortly after the procedure.

Liver/Age Spot Treatments
Liver spots, or age spots are tan or brown flat areas on the skin that become more numerous as we age. Sun exposure and heredity can contribute to this condition. The only risk these liver spots (or lentigines) pose is making you look older than you really are.
Fortunately, the newest Nd:YAG Laser is capable of eliminating liver spots, age spots, moles and freckles in one or two pain free treatments. The procedure takes 15 minutes or less and requires no anesthesia.

Wrinkle Reduction With Collagen & Restylane™
Some wrinkles are caused not only by movement of the muscle underneath, but from reduction of connective tissue that hold the skin tight. Many factors contribute to the reduction of connective tissue including age, sun exposure, smoking, diet, exercise and genetics. The connective tissue is made up of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. Today, we can replace collagen and hyaluronic acid that is lost from the above factors. Bovine and human collagen can be injected under the wrinkle to lift the wrinkle and smooth the skin. This is generally effective for about 3 months. The newest filler is called Restylane®, and replaces lost hyaluronic acid. Restylane® lasts 6-9 months and works best on nasolabial lines (wrinkles from the edge of the nose to the corner of the mouth) and to enhance the lip lines.
